Carbon Credits to Wild Fires

Carbon credits are what people call planting a tree/s to off set the use of carbon producing machines such as air plains/jets, cars, and other types of transportation or anything that produces carbon. Carbon credits can be a good thing if a land has no trees, and bad if there are to many trees on a land. Good or bad, Carbon Credits are the latest craze if you want to feel better about your traveling in carbon producing devices.

In the last few days the wild fires that are in the western United States are caused by neglect of that forest area. Before the conservationists started suing to stop organizations from keeping the forests clean of downed trees and such as that, stopping timber companies from logging parts of the forest, and stopping organizations from commencing controlled burns of the forest, the forest where more managed and more manageable if a wild fire was somehow started. By letting all of the undergrowth, downed trees, and such as that to build up at the floor of the forest, the forest is more likely to get set a fire and then turn into the wild fires that have been seen in the last few days in the western United States and last year in Australia.

Car companies say if you buy a car from them, the car company will plant 70 some odd trees to off-set your carbon imprint. Airlines are offering to sell carbon off-sets for travelers to buy as they use there airline to travel. Among these and other ways to buy off-sets, that is allot of trees. The trees that are planted are trees that will grow into large trees and trees that will multiply to make new trees, and then trees that will produce downed trees and lots of forest floor under growth that will need to be managed or all of those trees and undergrowth will all turn into combustible fuel for a new wild fire.

When people that buy all of these off-sets, do they know that they may be producing the fuel for a huge wild fire in a few years unless the forest is managed. Do they know that conservationist organizations are not allowing the management of the forest that the off-set consumers are producing. There is nothing wrong with buying off-sets or even planting your own trees is not a bad thing, what is bad is, when off-sets are bought and then planted and then not managed.

President Bush takes trip to Iraq today.

President Bush surprises the world with another visit with the our military troops in Iraq. The United States troops in Iraq will have their moral raised a few notches by today's visit to Iraq by President George W. Bush. While the moral of the United States troops is boosted, the moral of insurgents is lowered as President George W. Bush returns to Iraq to visit with troops.

Although a year has past sence President George W. Bush has been to visit the troops in Iraq, President George W. Bush has always visited our troops, and has always treated our troops with the utmost respect by always thanking the troop of the United States Military for the wonderful jobs that they all have done and are doing. While the British media rips President George W. Bush's visit as some sort of political theatre, President George W. Bush has a great record of visiting the troops on the line of battle.

Army Lt. Gen. Douglas Lute says military draft is needed

Frequency of tours for the United States military forces in Iraq and Afghanistan have stressed the all volunteer force and made it worth considering a return to a military draft, President Bush's new war adviser Army Lt. Gen. Douglas Lute said Friday.

Several other United States Military Generals turned the job that Gen. Douglas Lute has now. None of the other generals wanted the scrutinized responsibility of doing the type of job that Army Lt. General Douglas Lute is doing. The decision was probably a tough decision for Douglas Lute to recommend the draft to the President.

There will be a great debate about the Lute recommendation to re-instate the United States Military Draft. Most people do not want it but others say they want safety. Do you think the United States should re-instate the military draft in order to provide defense?

United States assessing Pakistan nukes should Musharraf fail to be re-elected

United States military intelligence officials are urgently assessing how secure the nuclear weapons in Pakistan would be in the event that President Gen. Pervez Musharraf is not re-elected as the nations leader.

Musharraf has been allied in the war on terror with the United States and other western countries. Musharraf has had his life threatened, and has had several attempted assassinations on his life.

Last week the Pakistan President fore-went a state of emergency that could have postponed the Pakistan Presidential election were Musharraf could retain his power. President Bush encouraged Musharraf to do the right thing and let the election proceed free and peaceful. As the world watches the presidential elections in Pakistan to pass, the United States military intelligence officials are on alert.

Russia resumes nuke bomber sorties

Russia's strategic bombers have resumed their Cold War practice of flying long-haul missions to areas patrolled by NATO and the United States, top generals said on Thursday.

Russian Role-back

It seems as though Russia is rolling back the temp on the cold war. Russia just fired a what the Russian government called "A Test Missile" from one side of Russia to the other. Before that, the Russian government has for the most part taken over all major energy resources. The Russian government has shut the oil flow down on countries they say are due for an increase on the price of Russian oil or oil piped through Russia. Russia made billions on windfall energy revenues after that.

Russian Roulette Made Up All Over Again

Russia is buddy, buddy with Iran. Russia, Iran and Nukes doesn't sound pretty. I say wake up everybody. The only reason that we haven't found any "more" Russian weapons is because the Russian government doesn't want to be caught in another proxy war. Russia is going to get worse and worse until we end up evolved in another cold war.

Minneapolis | St. Paul - Mississippi River Bridge Collapse

The entire 35 West bridge has collapsed that spanned over the Mississippi River in Minneapolis and St. Paul at the height of rush hour traffic or 6:05 pm Central time. A tractor trailer was engulfed in flames. There is some sort of school bus, some crushed cars and other automobiles are under water. Rescuers helped collapse victims to safety, so far 30 - 60 are injured, atleast 7 deaths.

A collapse victim says traffic was moving at about ten miles an hour, and said the bridge just started shaking and then the bridge collapsed. Official say that the reason for the collapse was more than likely an engineering issue. However the cause of the bridge collapse is under investigation. The Federal Bureau of Investigations are on hand to investigate the cause of the collapse of the 35 west bridge spanning the Misiissippi River in Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Thursday: President Bush gave a press conference on the collapse of the Interstate 35 West bridge. More Federal agent are on location in Minneapolis and St. Paul and more are on the way to Investigate the reasons for the collapsed Interstate 35 West bridge.
