Miss USA Carrie Prejean Fired Says Trumpn Tami Farrell Takes Over |

Carrie Prejean, 22, retained her title last month despite a controversy over topless photos and her statements against same-sex marriage.
Carrie Prejean, as was the holder of the Miss California USA title, has been fired by organizers of the Miss USA pageant.
The decision to fire Prejean was made “solely on contract violations, including Ms. Prejean’s unwillingness to make appearances on behalf of the Miss California USA organization,” state pageant Executive Director Keith Lewis has said. Trump issued a statement saying he asked Carrie Prejean to leave for failing to honor her commitments as Miss California USA.
Trump said, “I told Carrie she needed to get back to work and honor her contract with the Miss California Organization and I gave her the opportunity to do so…. Unfortunately it just doesn’t look like it is going to happen and I offered [the organization] my full support in making this decision” and he also said, “Carrie is a beautiful young woman and I wish her well as she pursues her other interests.”
Tami Farrell, the first runner-up to Prejean in the Miss California USA competition, will take over the responsibilities Carrie Prejean. Prejean created allot controversy during the Miss USA competition, where she had been the first runner-up and she had answered a judge’s question about gay marriage by saying marriage should be reserved for men and women.
