George W. Bush made an appeal directed to the Iranian people during a State of The Union Address, asking them to persuade their government to change direction away from the on-going nuclear crisis with world powers. Barack Obama on Tuesday made another direct appeal to the Iranian people, saying there was “no reason for the United States and Iran to be divided from one another.

Haven’t we all been here before? Iran has continued to build what ever they are building with-out any oversight such as with the IAEA.

It seems that Obama made his appeal before the US exempted Japan and 10 European nations from the prospect of biting sanctions intended to punish countries that continue to buy oil from Iran.

Are we a dog chasing our tale? Iran would love to know that was going on where they would CONTINUE to have un-fettered time to complete their suspected nuclear weapons program.

This has gone on long enough and it’s not the US that Iran has to worry about. Israel, is willing and able to strike Iranian facilities. Israel will strike if no one else will. Then you have other countries in the EU and the US that are afraid of Iran having any type of nuclear program, peaceful or not. They won’t sit around while Iran continues to build the program either.

Even if Obama got his message out to the Iranian people, what is accomplished? Not much, just try to go out into an Iranian street to protest that governments nuclear program. Wouldn’t be pretty. There is something about questioning a governments authority that is seen as that of Iran in the worlds eyes, you’d get Syrian style crack downs where folks would be sniped rather than be heard. That’s right, you can’t even go home and have a cold beer after a long day at work in Iran with-out the authorities knocking at your door. Therefore any kind of revolt by the Iranian people is pretty much out of the question.

Iran Nukes: War On Horizon For Near Decade?? Some say we are running out of time. Are we? Should the Iranian people should be afraid and brace for what is to come? Or can they stop their government? Will Iran back down and allow inspections and will the Iranians discontinue any building of nuclear weapon?
