Canada police kill suspect in an anti-terror operation

Police have shot dead a suspect in an anti-terror operation in the Canadian province of Ontario, media reports say.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) would only say “action had been taken” against a lone suspect.

Canadian media said police had raided a property in Strathroy, about 225km (140 miles) south-west of Toronto.

They named the suspect as Aaron Driver, 24, who was arrested last year for openly supporting so-called Islamic State on social media.

19,000 Civilians Die In Iraq Since January 2014

Nearly 19,000 civilians were killed in Iraq between January 2014 and October 2015 — a toll the United Nations calls “staggering” in a new report.

The report, released Tuesday, outlines the horrific impact Iraq’s ongoing conflict is having on its civilian population.

The numbers are mind-boggling. In the 21-month period:

At least 18,802 civilians were killed, about half of them in Baghdad alone.

Another 36,245 were wounded.

About 3.2 million people were internally displaced, including a million school-aged children.

The actual figures could be much higher, the report said.

Washington Post Journalist Jason Rezaian Is Being Released

Washington Post journalist Jason Rezaian, who has been detained in Iran since July 2014, is being released as part of a prisoner swap deal, according to an Iranian news agency report today.

Three other prisoners are also being released, the semi-official FARS news agency said, citing Tehran’s prosecutor.

The news agency did not name the other prisoners being released, or provide any details on the deal.

Iran has been known to be holding Rezaian, Marine veteran Amir Hekmati and Christian pastor Saeed Abedini. Additionally, former FBI agent and CIA contractor Robert Levison has been missing since visiting Iran in 2007.

House of Representatives Repealed Obamacare

The GOP-controlled House of Representatives has approved a bill to repeal Obamacare that, after more than 60 votes in the past five years, will finally get to the President’s desk.

The House vote was 240-181, largely along party lines. The Senate passed the legislation last month.

The bill is expected to arrive at the White House later this week. President Barack Obama has already vowed to veto any Republican bill that guts his signature health care law.

The measure also bars any federal money for Planned Parenthood. Conservatives in Congress vowed to defund the organization after a series of videos released by an anti-abortion group last year triggered a controversy about the sale of fetal tissue. Planned Parenthood maintains the footage was edited, and has denied any improper activity.

Demonstrators Arrested Behind Nimr al-Nimr Execution

Several demonstrators have been arrested at the Saudi Arabian embassy in Tehran, police say, following the Saudi execution of a dissident Shiite cleric.

Video showed smoke billowing out of the Saudi embassy early Sunday, and police report damage at the back of the building.

Cleric Nimr al-Nimr was among 47 people executed by Saudi Arabia on Saturday on terror charges. He had repeatedly spoken out against the government and the Saudi royal family.

Rick Santorum On The Supreme Court Same Sex Marriage Ruling

The Supreme Court just launched an unprecedented attack on the religious liberty and the traditional family.

These unelected judges created – out of thin air – a “right” to same-sex “marriage,” and ruled that all states must recognize these unions, regardless of their own laws.

This is a watershed moment in American history. It’s the most egregious rejection of traditional values and the Bill of Rights since Roe v. Wade.

We can’t let it stand!

I’m running for President because I believe our traditional values are worth protecting. I believe that our religious freedom cannot and should not be violated by an overbearing government bending to the whims of a vocal minority.

It’s easy to talk the talk, but together we’ve walked the walk!

I was the author of the Federal Marriage Amendment and I fought my own Party who did not even want to vote on it. But I demanded a vote and we got a vote!

But now, with this same-sex “marriage” ruling, I have never been more driven to stand up for traditional families and defend the true and right meaning of marriage.

I promise that, as President, I will use the most powerful tool of the executive office – the bully pulpit – to have the national conversation on marriage and family that our current President refuses to have, and we will make the case that marriage cannot be redefined by unelected judges.

My administration will talk about the implications on our society if we upend the foundational institution of humanity. We will talk about the importance of children having both a mom and a dad.

If this president can use the bully pulpit to talk about trans fats, then my administration can surely use it to talk about the importance of the building block of society!

We have already gotten a taste of the fallout from this historic ruling.

Family businesses have been shut down because they refused to cater gay weddings. Others have been sued for “hate speech.” How long will it be before our churches and synagogues are in the crosshairs as well?

This court ruling is the Roe v. Wade of the 21st Century. It’s an attack on religious freedom, an affront to the religious liberty of millions of Americans, and a threat to the stability of our families.

We can’t allow it to stand. And as President, I will do all within my power to overturn it.

Pope Francis Speaks Out On Climate Change

Pope Francis is putting his two cents in on climate change. “Humanity is called to recognize the need for changes of lifestyle, production and consumption, in order to combat this warming or at least the human causes which produce or aggravate it,” the pope wrote. “At one extreme, we find those who doggedly uphold the myth of progress and tell us that ecological problems will solve themselves simply with the application of new technology and without any need for ethical considerations or deep change.”

Not to be an advocate for the devil, the pope and the whole Catholic Church has a huge foot print on the environment. Besides for them, we still have 20 other religions with huge footprints on the environment. So I’d say practice what you preach.

Mary’s Final message?

The Virgin Mary, “Our Lady of Prayer”, has been appearing to multiple visionaries in Idaho, USA. There is a connection to Medjugorje, with several Priest endorsed messages from Mary, “This is the LAST TIME he will allow me to come bearing these messages and in His Grace, he has given me permission to speak to many.” Concerned that this ominous message will inspire fears of “end times” in many Souls, the Catholic Church has suppressed this story, placating the visionaries with an unpublished booklet of the messages they are allowed to pass out one on one. However, Mary clearly states on page ten of this booklet, “As many as will hear.” Mary’s “public messages” contain warnings to convert with a definite tone and verbiage about time running short, so they are indeed special challenges for the Magisterium of the Church. Boise is now in a very select group, with Medjugorje (1981-2009) and Garabandal (1961). All have had prophetic messages verified by onsite priests. Boise’s main visionary’s Spiritual Director, Catholic Priest, John F. Donoghue (†2009) endorsed Mary’s final messages in God’s Grace, “It contains messages from the Blessed Virgin Mary.”

Bishop Tod Brown of Orange, former Bishop of Boise (1989-1998) confirmed that the Reverend Donoghue had investigated and believed Mary’s Messages. Brown confirmed the Church had not fully investigated.

Last July the Vatican defrocked the Priest (Fr. Tomislav Vlasic) who was the Spiritual Director of the Medjugorje Visionaries. The Church is now poised to make an announcement about Medjugorje. This may be complicated by Mary’s Boise Message, “As it is in Medjugorje, so it is in Boise.” Could these multiple messages by Mary be warning us of the “Period of Peace” that predates Judgment Day?

These final messages from Mary are filled with a mother’s love. From Mary’s heart to ours. Yours. Mary’s gracious words are timeless. Father Donoghue, “I see these messages as homilies from the Blessed Mother.” Enjoy them at with pictures, Bishop Interviews, and more details…
